Ross headed to Cal State L.A.
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Victor Valley College sprinter and Silverado High grad Leve Nathaniel Ross V signed a letter of intent Monday to run track at California State University, Los Angeles.
Cal State L.A. offered him a partial scholarship to run the 100 meters, 200 meters and 4x100 meters.
Ross, who graduated from Silverado in 2005, holds VVC’s school record in the 100 with a time of 10.65 seconds. He also played football for the Rams this past season.
“The work load will be tougher, making me a better athlete,” Ross said. “I’m also looking forward to my major.”
He dreams of becoming an actor and plans on majoring in theater arts.
Ross was also recruited by Division I schools such as Cal State Fullerton and UC Riverside, but decided to attend CSLA because he has only two years of eligibility left and wants an opportunity to compete now.
“I wanted to go to Division I and I had the opportunity, but there was a time clock,” Ross said.
