Reaber to play for Vanguard

Comments 0 | Recommend 0

Former Sultana softball player Emilee Reaber has signed a letter of intent to attend and play softball at Vanguard University.

Reaber, who graduated in May, was on the 2008 All-Mojave River League second team as a pitcher.

Reaber said she will receive a 70 percent athletic and academic scholarship for tuition, room and board.

“I received generous scholarship offers from colleges and universities in and out of the state," Reaber said in a written statement. “After visiting several of the schools I decided on Vanguard University. The academic quality of the university, the softball program and coaching staff as well as the location and overall atmosphere at the university helped me with my choice.”
