Caitlin Ledoux signed her letter of intent Wednesday night to play volleyball for Long Beach State.

Ledoux was the 2006 Daily Press Girls Volleyball Athlete of the Year for her performance in her junior year with Serrano High School.

Though she decided not to play for Serrano in her senior year, Ledoux has continued to play beach volleyball and compete for the club team Cal Juniors in Long Beach.

She said she hopes to one day play for the U.S. in the Olympics.
