JACOB ARREOLA, Jr., Hesperia Christian: Had the lowest 9-hole scoring average (39) in the Agape League and finished runner-up for the league’s MVP title. Arreola, who advanced to the postseason, won five league matches.

JARROD BROOKSHER, Sr., Sultana: Brooksher came back from a major knee injury during the wrestling season to win six (one co-medalist) of nine league matches and earn Mojave River League MVP honors with the lowest stroke average (76.2). Brooksher, a four-time MRL individual wrestling champion, made the all-league team for the fourth time and finished in the top three in scoring average for the third year in a row.

B.J. DOUCETT, Sr., Granite Hills: Had the best scoring average (72.3) in the Desert Sky League to earn the MVP and was the second alternate for the SCGA Tournament. Doucett, who has a full-ride to UC Riverside, won four league matches, helped the Cougars to their first outright league title and finished seventh at the CIF-Southern Section Central Divisional. He also took home titles at the Jackrabbit Invitational and the High Desert Classic. Outside of high school competition, he was an all-American on the IJGA Tour and the Future College World tour.

ALEC HUTCHASON, So., Apple Valley: His consistent scoring allowed him to finish third in scoring average (80.1) in the MRL and qualify to CIF Individuals for the second year in a row. During the league season he finished second three times and tied for medalist honors once.

JAKE LYNCH, Jr., Victor Valley: As the lone returning varsity member from defending champion Jackrabbits, Lynch finished with the third best scoring average (78.2) in the DSL to advance to CIF Individuals. He also won one DSL match, finished second at the Jackrabbit Invitational and never finished outside the top five in league.

ANDREW ROCHE, Sr., Sultana: Carried the fifth best scoring average (83.3) in the MRL and won one match for Sultana. Roche also shot the team-low (78) at the team sectional and earned all-league honors.

COACH OF THE YEAR
JOHN C. MARTIN, Victor Valley Christian:
Coached the Royals to an Agape League title defense despite losing their top three players from the previous season to graduation. VVCS nudged Hesperia Christian on the last day of the season to take the league title and represent the Agape League at CIF team sectionals.
