May 7, 2008 11:51 pm

SILVERADO 5, GRANITE HILLS 0: At Victorville, Marisa Anchondo threw a shutout and hit a home run in the Hawks’ regular-season finale.

Anchondo struck out 12 and allowed four hits, and went 2-for-3 with a solo home run at the plate. She has given up just two runs in her last six starts, all complete games.

Shelby Abelar was 2-for-3 with two runs. Desiree Napoli got Silverado (11-13, 8-4 DSL) on the scoreboard with an RBI single in the second inning, then came around to score on an error.

Breanna Schuh went 2-for-2 with a walk for Granite Hills.

The Hawks finished tied for second in the Desert Sky League with Burroughs.

“We have a really good shot to represent the High Desert as long as they play the way they have been lately,” Silverado coach Ernie Salgado said. “I have a feeling all of the High Desert teams are going to do really well this year.”
