SINGLES

Tanatach Foythong, Sultana

Foythong, an exchange student from Bangkok, Thailand, went back to his home country with a 41-3 record in the High Desert. He won the Mojave River League singles finals and advanced to the second round of the CIF-Southern Section individuals.

John Park, sr., Silverado

Park played at the Hawks’ No. 2 spot behind Ataru Akiyama to finish 23-1 in league and 44-4 overall. He took third in the DSL singles finals and won the Cops ‘N’ Jocks tournament in doubles.

Ethan Stockton, sr., Apple Valley

Named to the All-Mojave River League first team, Stockton was consistent throughout the season as he finished league play 16-5 to power the Sun Devils.

DOUBLES

Krish Bhutwala, jr., and Bryan Schnebeck, so., Granite Hills

Bhutwala and Schnebeck played a crucial role for the Cougars in sharing the league title with Silverado as the pair swept the Hawks in a 10-8 victory in the teams' first face-off. The pair went 23-10 for the season and 16-5 in the DSL.

Ben Song, sr., and Kalin Westover, sr., Silverado

Song and Westover swept in a first round match of the CIF-SS team playoffs against San Gorgonio to help the Hawks advance to the second round, where the pair won two sets. Song finished with a record of 30-9 (19-5 DSL), while Westover went 27-12 (16-8 DSL).

Dallin Heywood, sr., and Daniel Smith, sr., Sultana
Heywood and Smith finished runner-up in the MRL doubles finals. They helped the Sultans place second in league as they posted a 21-3 record in league and 41-4 overall.

UTILITY
Joaquin Enciso, so., Silverado

Enciso played doubles early in the season and went 24-6 (13-2 DSL). He switched to singles at the end of league play and finished 6-3 in the DSL to help the Hawks catch up with Granite Hills.

COACH OF THE YEAR
Pat Jenkins, Granite Hills

Jenkins led Granite Hills to win the co-DSL title with Silverado as he skillfully moved his players around to adjust his team to its opponents. The Cougars were 7-1 in league to advance to the CIF playoffs. Jenkins stepped down as the boys coach after the season.
