Goodman named Oak Hills A.D.
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Darren Goodman will be the first athletic director for Oak Hills High School, which will open in Hesperia for the 2009-2010 school year.
Goodman, currently the athletic director at Hesperia High, will move to the new school with principal Larry Porras.
“It was a tough decision because I love both principals,” Goodman said, referring to Porras and incoming Hesperia principal Bob Schnebeck. “I worked with Larry for a long time and we have a very good working relationship. Larry’s a great supporter of athletics. Being part of starting new traditions and opening up a new school is exciting.”
Goodman, who has been the Scorpions’ A.D. for five years, will keep the job at Hesperia for the upcoming sports season while he prepares for his first season at Oak Hills.
“I really want to make this process good for both schools,” he said.
